Pasta Dinners
The team enjoys a pasta dinner together every Thursday after practice. Support the girls by hosting a dinner at your home or helping prepare sides and serving at a dinner.
To volunteer, choose a date and add your name and number to the Pasta Dinner Signup. See Pasta Dinner Menu Suggestions for ideas and amounts. Email Bethany Petska with questions.
Chocolate Milk
Chocolate milk (two gallons and lactose free option) is provided by the boosters to the team after every meet. It helps replenish muscle tissue and gives a beneficial ratio of carbohydrate to protein for a shorter recovery time.

What is the Parent Tent?
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the skits during coaches camp?
A team bonding event separated by grade level. It’s a feisty competition!
How does my daughter get to practice if it's not at the school?
If she doesn't drive yet, she'll be assigned to another team member with a driver’s license to safely transport her to the practice location. A lot of bonding happens during the car ride! Your daughter will need a ride home after practice.
What is the pasta dinner?
A weekly team event for carb loading on Thursdays before race day. A family hosts either at their home, a park, etc. The team arrives after practice around 5:00 and they are starving! Serving ware, utensils, and paper products are provided by the Booster group. Sometimes the pasta is also donated. If not donated, the expected food preparations are provided.
What is expected on race day?
Your runner will run a 5k (3.1 miles) in either the Varsity or Open race.
Racing is fun, but so challenging! Cheer on your athlete!
What is the Parent Tent?
A location set up away from the team where parents can mingle, discuss viewing locations, sign your child out if they are not riding the bus home, enjoy some snacks, and celebrate the team’s race accomplishments!
How do I watch my daughter during the race?
Most courses have multiple viewing locations where your child will pass and will look forward to smiling, familiar faces. Meet at the Parent Tent beforehand and we’ll talk about good viewing spots.
Why do the girls drink chocolate milk after races?
Chocolate milk offers a ratio of 3:1 carbs to protein and is proven to replenish muscle glycogen quickly.
