Name: Olivia DiGiovine

 

Favorite Memory:  Our dance parties at camp and raiding the boys team.

 

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running:  Reading and spending time with my friends.

 

Who inspires you and why:  My sister inspires me because she goes after all her goals and always stands up for what she believes in.

 

I think people would be surprised to know:  I have to eat string cheese after I nap because I always crave it.

 

My favorite Pig-out food:  Ice cream

 

My favorite quote:  “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible” -Walt Disney.

 

My advice to younger teammates:  It is okay if you accidentally pee your pants after a hard race because that means you worked hard. 

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:  Becoming a captain 

 

When I graduate I hope to:  Go to college and eventually become an environmental lawyer.

Name: Caroline Hise

Favorite Memory:  Throwing a tennis ball with my group while running 

 

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running:  Driving on country roads and playing in creeks

 

Who inspires you and why:  Lauren Akins.

 

I think people would be surprised to know:  I want to be a farmer .

 

My favorite Pig-out food:  Extra Toasted Cheez-Its

My advice to younger teammates:  Summer miles are more important than they seem

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:  Not getting kicked off the team when I joined in the first day of mandatories freshman year

 

When I graduate I hope to:  Move south

Name:  Maggie Duffy

 

Favorite Memory:  OCCs at Hilliard Davidson last year when the weather was great and so many people got PRs.

 

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running:  I enjoy music, doing show choir, and hanging out with friends

 

Who inspires you and why:  My mom because she is so kind and always works so hard to do things for me and my family. My coaches (coach Dewese and coach Sosa) also inspire me because they push me to work hard to achieve my goals.

 

I think people would be surprised to know:   I love clothes and shopping

My advice to younger teammates:  Enjoy every moment while it lasts and savor the journey, it goes by a lot quicker than you think.

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:  Over coming my injuries and being able to run my best.

 

When I graduate I hope to:  Go to college and major in psychology

Favorite Memory:  Jamming to music and dancing before a meet. 

 

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running:  I love spending time with my friends and family and going on bike rides.

 

Who inspires you and why:  My mom because she is the most hardworking person I know, she always pushes me to do my best and she always goes out of her way to help others. 

 

I think people would be surprised to know:  I really dislike bats.

My advice to younger teammates:  Enjoy the moment and make memories that will stay with you forever because high school really flies by.

Favorite Memory:  Returning from a meet in Kylie Robert’s G Wagon

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running: I’m usually listening to music or thinking about running. Along with encouraging others to love themselves,

 

Who inspires you and why:  Frank Ocean creates beautiful music and inspires me to improve myself

I think people would be surprised to know: t I’ve lived in Massachusetts, India, Singapore, and Texas before moving to Ohio.

 

My favorite Pig-out food:   Double Stuf Oreos

 

My favorite quote:  Written by a user on Twitter, my favorite quote is, “If I eated soap. I don’t eat it bc I did. No I didn’t <3”

 

My advice to younger teammates:  I encourage my younger teammates to attend group activities and bond with the other girls!

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:  Receiving “Most Improved Runner” my sophomore year.

 

When I graduate I hope to:  Continue running in college.

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running:  Not running

 

Who inspires you and why:  I want to be my own role model.

My advice to younger teammates:  Don't walk!

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:   Improving my PR.

Name: Addison Prindle

 

Favorite Memory:  Since just joining this year my favorite memory has been getting popsicles after practice. I am looking forward to making many more memories later in the season.

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running: When I am not running I enjoy going to dance practice and hanging out with my friends.

 

Who inspires you and why:  A person that inspires me is my mom. I admire how hardworking and selfless she is. I also hope to be as dedicated to my job and family as she is one day.

 

I think people would be surprised to know:  I have been a competitive Irish dancer for 6 years.

My advice to younger teammates:  Don’t be afraid to try new things or join a sport that you’ve never tried (even if it’s your last year of high school)

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:  My biggest accomplishment I think is either joining during my senior year in the first place or running 6 miles in a row. 

 

When I graduate I hope to:  Go to medical school to become a doctor.

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running: Reading or writing! 

 

Who inspires you and why:  Both my parents. They always get back up if they ever get pushed down and support me with every decision I make.

I think people would be surprised to know:  I can speak 3 languages.

My advice to younger teammates:  Keep working hard! Even if it feels hard sometimes, the outcome is always worth it!

 

My biggest accomplishment during my time in XC:  Getting faster at my miles and seeing myself improve!

Favorite Memory:  Friends encouraging me to join cross country. 

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running: I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my animals.

Who inspires you and why:  My grandmother, she is always kind. She also has a giving personality. She is an OSU nursing grad who worked for 50 years, so she has a very strong manner. She also makes the most out of hard situations. 

 

I think people would be surprised to know:  I have played the Double Bass since the fourth grade. I also enjoy photography, for a hobby. I also took German classes 1-3.

My advice to younger teammates:  Be yourself, be confident, and know it's ok to make mistakes.

What I enjoy doing when I’m not running:  Hanging out with my friends, watching Netflix, or practicing for other sports

 

Who inspires you and why:  My parents, my peers, and my coaches.  No matter how their day went they always help me keep my head up and work harder.
